Mental Health Coaching

I’m a Mental Health Coach specializing in trauma and trauma-informed support.

I have a heart for walking alongside individuals who are carrying the weight of painful experiences, helping them understand how trauma has impacted their lives while discovering healthy ways to move forward.

My approach is compassionate, honest, and Christ-centered. I believe healing begins when we are given a safe place to be heard, seen, and supported without judgment. Together, we work toward breaking unhealthy patterns, rebuilding confidence, establishing healthy boundaries, and finding hope beyond what has happened.

Your trauma may be part of your story, but it does not have to define your future.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@rhondablair.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

A Mental Health Coach is a trained, non-clinical support person who helps individuals navigate common mental health struggles and move toward healthier, more stable patterns of life. Mental health coaches use practical coaching strategies and biblically grounded care to help people set goals, build strengths, and take meaningful next steps.

A Mental Health Coach supports individuals as they work through mental and emotional challenges and move toward greater stability, hope, and healthy change. Coaches help people identify patterns, build strengths, set goals, and take practical next steps that support growth and day-to-day functioning.

Using structured coaching conversations and evidence-informed, faith-integrated strategies, coaches support areas such as emotional regulation, stress and anxiety, relationships, grief and loss, trauma recovery support, and building healthy habits.

This role is non-clinical and does not involve diagnosing or providing treatment. Instead, mental health coaches offer steady support, practical tools, and encouragement, and they help connect people to appropriate resources when additional care is needed.

A trauma-informed coach is a professional who incorporates principles and practices of trauma-informed care into their coaching approach. Trauma-informed coaching recognizes the widespread impact of trauma on individuals and aims to create a safe and supportive environment for clients who may have experienced trauma.

Coaches help clients develop a healthy balance in life, give guidance in decision making, offer support in navigating mental health difficulties, and assistance in establishing a recovery plan. Coaches help clients find ways to obtain and maintain stability, manage difficult symptoms, rebuild relationships, and find a purpose for living. Coaches also help clients find resources for professional care and treatment, family support, and education.

The role of a trauma-informed coach is to provide support, guidance, and empowerment to individuals who have experienced trauma, while recognizing and responding to the impact trauma may have on their well-being.

Life coaches with trauma-informed training are different from licensed mental health care providers. Coaches do not diagnose or provide clinical treatment for mental health conditions. Instead, they support positive change. They may help clients manage symptoms, build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, set goals, and improve overall well-being. When appropriate, they encourage collaboration with licensed professionals.

Trauma-informed coaches also support the possibility of Post-Traumatic Growth, or PTG. This refers to positive personal growth that can happen after difficult life experiences. Coaches help clients recognize strengths they have developed, find new meaning, strengthen relationships, and clarify their sense of purpose. The focus is on creating safety and trust while helping clients move forward in a healthy and empowering way.

I understand that choosing someone to walk with you through difficult places requires trust. As a Mental Health Coach specializing in trauma, I offer a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can talk honestly about what you have experienced and begin taking meaningful steps forward.

My approach is not simply about asking, “What happened to you?” It is also about helping you discover, “Where do you want to go from here?”

I bring compassion, practical tools, faith, and an understanding of how trauma can affect our thoughts, relationships, confidence, boundaries, and sense of identity. I will meet you where you are while encouraging you toward where you want to be.

As your coach, I will walk alongside you as you:

  • Recognize patterns connected to past trauma.
  • Identify triggers and develop healthier responses.
  • Build healthy boundaries and stronger relationships.
  • Rediscover your voice, confidence, and sense of purpose.
  • Set realistic goals for the life you want to create.
  • Incorporate faith and biblical principles into your journey, if desired.

I won't promise an overnight transformation. Healing and growth take time. But you don't have to figure out your next steps alone.

You are more than what happened to you. Your story is still being written, and I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move forward.
